and i definitely agree with everything it said. a person even added that you should tip other service people, cleaning staff etc etc. but they left out the mail carrier. many people are surprisingly unaware that you are supposed to tip your mail carrier. think about it; they work all day every day[except sundays] in the worst weather conditions when you are bundled up in your house because it’s “too hot/cold/windy/muggy/rainy/dreary/snowy/foggy to go outside”. they don’t want to be outside anymore than you do.
my father was a mailman and i cannot stress the importance of tipping your mail carrier, ESPECIALLY on holidays.
while receiving a cash tip from someone as a mail carrier is quite nice, the best thing you can do for them during harsh months (summer/winter), is to leave them a cold bottle of water or lemonade, or make them a mug of hot chocolate. it goes a long way and they appreciate it more than you know.
moral of the story, tipping is a wonderful thing.
so do it.
Anonymous asked: nice blog but i doubt you can beat my high score at tumblrtreats(.)com ;)
it’s too bad i don’t care about whatever that is you’re boasting about. you should boast about something cool like having a high score in life.

that i have a motherly like protective way about me when it comes to my town. like this town is my child. i get deeply hurt when people insult the town that i was raised in. i get this anger or resentment towards people when they berate it. i get this “if you dislike it so much, why the fuck don’t you get the fuck out of here and quit bitching about my beautiful hometown?!” attitude. when people say that my town isn’t ‘good’ enough or ‘nice’ enough i take it very personally. it’s so weird and i’m probably one of the only few that feel this way about it, and i don’t know why i do. i just do. i love my town. i love the absolute rich history of it. i love the contrast of it. i love the shops on main street. i love the food i can eat here. i love the places i can explore. i love the places i have already explored. i know my way around it like the back of my hand. it’s not perfect by any means, but i love it.
